In The Pits is a show produced by Blend Line TV focusing on short interviews, captured in the pits at racing events. Showcasing some of the great cars in Australian Motorsport.

EPISODE 1: The Peter Fowler built Mercedes 450 SLC Sports Sedans is one of the pinnacle race cars in Australian motorsport history, at the 2022 Mallala Historic Sports Sedans meeting we had the chance to catch up with Simon Pfitzner to have a chat about the car, it’s history and current track time.

EPISODE 2: Clem Smith’s iconic Charger is the Sports Sedan that many wish they had of seen racing more in Australia. Current driver, Jason Maros, gives us some history of the beast. Including what engine and components it is running today on track.

EPISODE 3: The King of the Mountain, Peter Brock, saw his early days competing in a wild Austin A30 before being signed by Harry Firth to drive with the Holden Dealer Team. At the 2022 Mallala All Historic, Graham Boulter was driving this impeccable replica to that first machine. Built by James Brock, this car is as close as we have to the original driven by Peter.

EPISODE 4: Formula Holden was one of Australia’s pinnacle categories. These cars featured high horsepower V6 Holden motors, which coupled with great aero saw them achieve lap records on most Australian circuits which still stand today. Rohan Carrig currently competes with this Hocking built example, designed from a March 87B Formula 3000 car.
EPISODE 5: This triple rotor Mazda RX7 built to IMSA Specification has undergone an extensive restoration before returning to the track with the Historic Sports Sedans. The distinctive triple rotor sound definitely makes this car stand out.
EPISODE 6: ‘Saggy Sarah’ has had an incredible life in Motorsport. Used by The Holden Dealer Team across multiple racing disciplines including circuit, rally and rallycross, this car has seen many different guises. We caught up with owner Larry Kavanagh, who has done an incredible job preserving the history while continuing track activities for the car.
EPISODE 7: In this episode of In The Pits we catch up with Damian Johnson to have a chat about his Toyota Celica powered by a six cylinder holden red motor, it’s history in racing and how this car continues to build upon Damian’s already large involvement in Sports Sedans racing.
