Nomination #1 – up a coming star Ethan Brown

Ethan is a 19yr old apprentice from Yerrinbool NSW, is fresh off winning the NSW Club B grade championship. Looking to continue his run of good form, Ethan will be one of the young guys to watch.

With a dream to race midgets in the near future, Ethan will surely looking to keep out of trouble and lock away the much needed points for the feature.

Nomination #2 – current Australian Champion Mark Heaton.

Mark, a building site manager from Belimba Park NSW, is the defending NSW champion. Mark also currently holds the Victorian title and will be one of the ones to beat.

Always open to helping his fellow competitors, Mark’s trailer is nearly always the place to be in the pits. The Heaton clan, including Jo, Robert, Adam and Leo are massive supporters of Mark and NSW Compacts.

Nomination #3 – Con Buurveld

The ACT 76 Gardner / Nissan is the only registered car engine Compact nominated to date.

Con is a fabricator from Evatt, Canberra. In what is his 29th year racing, Con is set to include many years of experience to the grid. Let’s see if the car engines can keep up with the bikes in the show.

Alan Day is a man whom needs no introduction. The veteran of a 38 year racing career which spans nearly every speedway division, is ready for another NSW title tilt.

Michael, hailing from Seaford is in his first year of Compact Speedcar racing. Mike has some impressive motor racing stats under his belt with a 2005 Targa Tasmania Classic win, 2016 VIC 2wd Rally Championship, 2017 Aus Rally X 2wd championship and 2019 VIC Minisprint Championship.

Fresh from the feature win recently at Wangaratta, with a clear quick package and driving talent, Michael has sure gotta be an underdog. Has he got what it takes on the clay banks of Goulburn?

Matt, at 38 years of age is based in Londonderry and will be starting his 3rd Compact Speedcar event. Don’t let this fool you, Matt has completed 2 seasons in a Sprintcar and multiple 50 lapped midget events.

The reigning NSW Lightning Sprint Country series champion, with multiple lightning Sprint Track championships under his belt will be one to beat on Saturday.

Jason, who resides in Latham ACT is for sure the most colorful character in the NSW Compact Speedcar club. Always one to entertain, Jas either wins it or bins it, a raw proper grass roots racer with 35 years on the track.

Jason came close to an Aussie title a few years back, qualifying pole only to have an engine fire on start up. With daughter Chelsea Essai and son Max Essai also racing Saturday, Jason has plenty of support. Good luck mate.

Harry, from Nowra on the NSW south coast is a full time high school student and the yougest entrant at the tender age of 16years.

A second generation racer of some good pedigree with father Lee, Brother Jack and uncle Alan Day all in the Compact ranks. The boys from Wombat Hill will be great to watch!

Nomination #9 – last seasons Rookie of the Year – Jack Stokes.

Jack, also from Nowra on the NSW south coast is looking to beat his in form brother. Straight off the back off a solid season with a feature win, Jack will without doubt be in the show.Wombat Hills Lee Stokes will have his work cutout for him crewing for 2 great racers, Lee can’t wait and neither can we. Go get em Jack!

Adam, who is a family based racer with father in law Garry Simpson, is based in Bargo NSW. This will be Adams first outing in a Compact, or as some say “taking the training wheels (wing) off!

This means that Adam will start rear of field ROF for the evening, but given a competitive history in off-road buggies we expect Adam to start his first Compact Speedcar feature.

Brad, a Googoong resident comes from a thick blood line of racing pedigree, with Uncle Mick having won the Aussie Compact title, Dad Rob with 2 ACT Compact titles and Brother Robbie current Aussie Legend Car title holder.

Brad is arguably the most underrated driver in Compact Speedcars in Australia. The last few years for Brad have been marred with teething problems and family commitments.

Watch out for this fast peddler, definitely a Contender.

Jordan, who races out of Wilberforce NSW is running his second Compact Speedcar event. No slouch behind the wheel, Jordan has won several features in the winged division and placed second at an Aussie title too!

Goulburn is probably a little less banked than Jordan’s favorite track Toowoomba, but rest assured with his family support and crew chief Jeff Byron he’ll be in the show for sure.

Garry, based in Bargo NSW is also running his second Compact Speedcar event. A regular Off-road buggy racer, Garry has come across to Compacts to fine tune his close quarters dirt driving skills.
